What is a Raclette Grill?
Spending all your time cooking in the kitchen at your dinner party is a thing of the past with the Andrew James Raclette Grill. With a spacious stone top surface and plenty of room for grilling meat, fish, and vegetables, it provides a unique way of dining where you can all share the fun of food by cooking together across the tabletop while chatting and catching up. It also works perfectly for camping and caravan trips.

How Do I Use It?
For specialised raclette dining, turn the raclette grill on and turn the heat control to max, and preheat the raclette for 10 minutes before use. Add a thin layer of oil to the raclette grill, stone, and pans. When the raclette is preheating, prepare your ingredients and place them into the individual pans. After it has preheated, reduce the heat to the required cooking temperature. Place the ingredients on top of the raclette and/or place the pans underneath the heating elements.

You can use this 1200W quality raclette grill anywhere with an electricity supply; indoors and outdoors, at home, or on holiday. The element is specially designed to provide superb heat distribution to the hot plate as well as the pans below, so all 8 guests can get their food sizzling at once. What is Traditionally Served on a Raclette?

Meat, potatoes, bread (to toast), onions, peppers, mushrooms, ham, and sausages with the individual trays of cheese that melt underneath. For recipes, see the Extra Info tab.

We aim to dispatch your order within one working day. The cut off time for a 24 hour delivery service is 1pm Monday to Friday. Any order placed after 1pm on a Friday will be dispatched the next working day (usually Monday). The 24 hour delivery service does not deliver on a Saturday or Sunday, please take this into consideration when placing your order.

If an order is placed on a Saturday or Sunday the order will then be dispatched on the next working day.

Please note that when placing your order, you should choose a delivery address where a person will be available to sign for the parcel. If there is no one available to sign for a parcel, the delivery driver will leave a card to let you know a delivery attempt has been made. They will make up to 3 attempts to deliver before holding the parcel at their depot for collection.

Please take the dispatch time into consideration when buying during a UK Bank Holiday period. The Andrew James Warehouse does not dispatch items until the next working day.

All the following recipes serve approximately 4 people, so you will need to double the ingredients if you are using your raclette to its full capacity (8 people). 

Traditional Raclette Recipe*:


  • Your Choice of Deli Meats (Thinly Sliced) 
  • 8 Small or Medium Potatoes 
  • 500g Raclette Cheese
  • 1 Jar of Pickled Gherkins
  • 1 Jar of Pickled Onions
  • Paprika 
  • Freshly Ground Pepper 
  • 3 Tbsp. Cooking Oil 
  1. Wash the potatoes and boil in a pot filled with salted water for about 20 minutes (leave the skin on). Keep warm until ready to use.
  2. Remove the rind of the cheese and cut into thick slices.
  3. Arrange the deli meats, pickled onions, and gherkins on a platter and set aside until required. 
  4. Each of your guests can take a slice of cheese, place it in the pan, and slide the pan under the raclette grill to melt - it takes approximately 2 minutes to melt to a creamy consistency and 3 minutes for a crispier top. 
  5. While the cheese is melting, take a potato and cut it into a few pieces. 
  6. Then, remove the pan from under the grill once the cheese has reached your preferred consistency and hold the pan onto its side to scrape the cheese out by using your wooden spatula. 
  7. Season to taste with freshly ground pepper and paprika.

Beef Fillet, Aubergine, Baby Tomato Skewers*


  • 4 Beef Fillets
  • 1 Aubergine 
  • 1 Pack of Baby Tomatoes 
  • 500g Raclette Cheese
  • Your Choice of Seasoning 
  • 3 Tbsp. Cooking Oil 
  1. Slice the beef fillets and aubergine into cubes. 
  2. Place the cubes onto skewers, as well as the baby tomatoes. 
  3. Cook on top of your Andrew James Raclette for a few minutes before seasoning. 
  4. Melt your raclette cheese in the pans underneath, and serve with your beef skewers.

Caramelised Pears and Baby Figs with Thyme*


  • 6 Pears 
  • 8 Figs
  • Thyme
  • Brown Sugar
  • Honey 
  1. Heat up your Andrew James Raclette and add your sliced pears and figs on the top of the grill. 
  2. Sprinkle some thyme and brown sugar to the pears and figs.
  3. Add a drizzle of honey to the fruit as well. 
  4. Grill and serve as a delicious dessert.

Mango Shrimp*


  • 280g Prawns 
  • 500g Raclette Cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. Cooking Oil 
  • 2 Tsp. Black Peppercorn
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 Mango
  • 32g Sliced Almonds 
  1. Crush the peppercorns and combine with prawns, peppercorns, oil, and lemon juice.
  2. Peel the mango, cut the fruit from the pit, and dice finely.
  3. Add the diced mango to the prawns and season the mixture to taste with salt and sugar. 
  4. Place some of the prawn-mango mixture and cover with raclette cheese in the pans and cook for around 8 minutes. 
  5. Add some sliced almonds towards the end of the cooking process. 
  6. Alternatively, grill the shrimp on the grill before placing in the pans with the mango mixture. 
  7. Serve with toasted almonds.

Tips for a Raclette Dinner Party*

  • Serve a Large Bowl of Potatoes (They Heat Up Nicely on a Raclette)
  • Pre-Cut Veg such as Peppers, Mushrooms, and Even Assorted Olives
  • Use Deli Meats or Prawns 
  • Leave out Skewers, Tongs, and Spatulas for Your Guests 
  • Always Serve with Oozing, Melting Cheese
  • Keep Surrounding Items/Condiments on the Table away from the Heat Output

Rustic Stone Raclette

Great way to eat -and a fun reminder for us from our skiing holiday. Only issue I would say is beware the heat out put to the surrounding items/condiments on the table - we managed to melt a plastic bottle of salad dressing!
