Create creamy mash with minimum effort with the help of the Andrew James Potato Ricer. This handy gadget comes with 2 plates - one with large holes and one with finer ones. This way, you can select the coarseness of the mash or puree you produce. With this high-quality potato ricer masher, you can cut potatoes into fine, thin shreds or squeeze soft fruit to create a delicious, healthy puree for baby food.

What Exactly is a Potato Ricer?
A potato ricer masher helps you to process cooked potatoes, vegetables, fruit, and rice into small pieces with minimal movement. With next to no effort, you can make rice-size pieces of potato, broccoli, and cauliflower as well as easily prepare baby food, fruit puree, and lemon juice. Using a potato ricer requires manual effort, and takes less effort the longer your potatoes and other ingredients are cooked.

How Do I Use It?
Start by preparing your ingredients and cooking them until they are soft. Then, lift the top handle to remove the potato press from the food container and add the disc with either the smaller, fine or larger, more coarse holes to the bottom of the container, ensuring that the lip is facing upwards.

Load the container with your ingredients and place the potato press into the container. Hold your ricer over a bowl or chopping board and push both the upper and lower handles together. The ingredients will then be pushed through the disc. If you have to use excessive force, your ingredients will need to be cooked for longer. There should only be light resistance.

Please note that forcing the press to the bottom of the food container, or sticky ingredients, may cause the ricer disc and potato press to stick together.

Do I Really Need One?
If you crave perfectly mashed, creamy, lump-free potato, a potato ricer is essential. A ricer is gentle, provides an even mash, and doesn’t require mixing. It is also multipurpose - you can use it for carrots, broccoli, and fruit, and create a smooth puree with the least amount of effort.

If you want to be known for making the best mashed potatoes, the Andrew James Potato Ricer is for you.

How Do I Clean My Potato Ricer?

Simply wash the components in hot, soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth, and rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe dry with a clean towel. Alternatively, you can pop your potato ricer on the top shelf in the dishwasher in a 40oC wash. Washing your potato ricer at a high temperature may damage the finish and cause corrosion.
