Annoying to open as the lid closes both ways and to open you have to rotate it halfway and lift it at the right point. Can be managed though. The machine does what it is for. There is a half cm gap at the bottom where the ice cream doesn't come out and we have to wait until the bowl thawed so this can be emptied. Overall good.
Excellent product easy to use with excellent results for the recipe provided in the manual
Very pleased with the Andrew James ice cream maker. Both the low price and Which? recommendation helped me to decide, and I wasn't disappointed.
Works very well, wish the bowl was larger as the icecream was devoured in seconds! It's a little noisy but not as loud as my blender, you only need have it on for about 10-15mins at a time. My husband is loving all the fruit yoghurt ices I'm creating!
Love it used it straight away, easy to use
A great budget machine. Easy to use and makes delicious Ice Cream, which I suggest is eaten within 24 hours before it goes rock hard in the freezer.
Very satisfied with my product good value too
Got the blue one. Matches kitchen perfectly and not too large. Just served my first batch ov vanilla ice cream made from the enclosed book .Received great reviews they all loved it. Now need to try new favors.
Simple, easy to use, value for money. Great product
You need freezer space for the freezer mixing bowl if you decide to keep it in the freezer continually. However, if you only make ice cream occasionally, then you don't need to have the bowl in the freezer permanently. It takes about 8 hours for the bowl temperature to come down for a satisfactory ice cream mix. I previously had an expensive electrical Magimix ice cream maker (£300+), but can honestly say, the ice cream from this Andrew James ice cream maker is every bit as good and certainly a LOT cheaper! You just need to plan ahead if you want to make ice cream or keep the bowl in the freezer permanently. Operation, couldn't be simpler.
Cannot review yet as I have not used it yet but the product looks good
Excellent value for money. very easy to use. Delighted.
My son used the ice-cream maker to make me a dairy-free delicious ice-cream with coconut cream and egg yolks with a dash of gin to soften it and lemon juice and vanilla to give it an extra piquant flavour. Excellent.
Just as described, ideal for occasional use. Needs refreshing after each use and this is clearly stated in the description
Soooo easy to use and, if the bowl has been in the fridgd for 8h, only takes 15-20mins to make ice cream! Ive not tested ice cream yet but ive done frozen yogurt - wacked in a 500g pot of yogurt, honey and grated choco chips and BOOM! :)
