What is a Volcano Waffle Maker?
Create thick, deliciously tasty waffles in 5 minutes without any mess or fuss with the unique design of your Andrew James Volcano Waffle Maker. Your waffles will expand up the waffle grill plates to the funnel at the top where the batter will start to bubble like a volcano.
How Do I Use My Volcano Waffle Maker?
Simply pour your thick waffle batter into the machine at the top and your waffles will start to cook. The unique volcano-style design makes large, round waffles that are about 18cm in diameter and up to 2cm thick. The machine is closed and sealed on the outside so you cannot overfill it, unlike other waffle makers, and once it has cooked evenly, your waffle comes out flat and can be cut into 4 portions.
This quality belgian waffle maker from Andrew James offers fun for the whole family in the kitchen. Your children in particular are sure to love the volcano-style bubbling of the batter at the top of the machine. The unique non-stick plates cook your waffle mix from the bottom up so your batter grows up the plates and starts to bubble at the top. The carefully designed slopes distribute batter evenly and guide it into every crevice to fill your machine perfectly and create even and delicious waffle slices.
When you aren’t using your electric waffle maker, it can be stored away neatly for your convenience. The funnel can be removed and unclipped from the top and secured into its own purpose-created slot under the waffle maker for a slimline, flat profile. You can also wrap the cord around the machine and clip it into place so your waffle maker fits easily into a cupboard or drawer.

This 700w machine cooks your waffles in just under 5 minutes. If your waffles feel as though they are sticking a little when you lift the lid, just give them another minute to cook thoroughly.
Mix your waffle mixture to the right consistency and wait until the green ‘ready’ light is on. After approximately 5 minutes, the green ‘ready’ light will illuminate, indicating that the unit has preheated and is ready for you to use. This light will cycle on and off every 4 or 5 minutes while in use. When the green indicator light comes on, you can pour your waffle mixture slowly into the funnel using the measuring cup.
Take a look in the ‘Extra Info’ tab for a basic yet delicious waffle recipe.
After you have finished creating your delicious homemade waffles, the non-stick plates can be wiped clean with a hot, damp, soft cloth once they have cooled. Thanks to the non-stick waffle grill plates, your waffles should lift away cleanly when they are properly cooked.

The basis of any waffle recipe is flour, eggs, and milk, although these items can be changed when you are creating either vegan waffles or gluten-free versions.
• 200g Plain Flour
• 2 Tsp Baking Powder
• 3 Tbsp. Sugar
• ¼ Tsp Salt
• 300ml Milk
• 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
• 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
• 1 Egg
Method:
If the shape of the waffle is not perfect, add another 25ml of milk and try again, and repeat if necessary.
Tip: If you are making a large number of waffles, your cooking time may reduce as your waffle maker reaches its maximum temperature. You can stack cooked waffles with a piece of kitchen roll between each layer to keep them crispy. They can also be frozen and then reheated in a warm oven, although this depends on the type of waffle mix you have used, so please check any waffle mix recipe instructions first.

this does not work, I have tried several consistencies of batter and it just comes out burnt and separated
Bought for daughter’s birthday and used for breakfast this morning. Made perfectly delicious waffles. Excess mixture comes out of the volcano top, rather than oozing our of the sides.
