The Andrew James Cast Iron Baking Stone is a traditional yet versatile cookware accessory that lets you create delicious authentic bakes like stone baked pizza, welsh cakes and flatbreads, easily at home. The properties of the stone help your food to retain moisture so the resulting bakes are delicious and full of flavour.
Great to use as a Pizza Stone: This large round stone has a diameter of 30cm (12 inches) and we’ve included an integral handle for easy transportation. The handle can also be used to hang and store the stone when not in use. We’ve also made the surface of the baking stone slightly concave to prevent any oils or excess batter spilling onto your stove top.
For use on Hob or in Oven: This baking stone can be used on all types of hobs, including induction hobs because of its iron construction. It can be used on Agas, Rayburns and is great for use on the BBQ in the summer. You can also use the baking stone in the oven for even more flexibility and delicious bakes like stone baked pizza or welsh cakes.
Even Cooking: The cast iron baking stone heats up evenly so you can cook your food without the fear of hot spots, and get a nicely browned surface to your bakes. The iron also has excellent heat retaining properties so you can use as a serving platter that keeps food warm at the table.
Pre-Seasoned Non-Stick Surface: To make life easy for you we have pre-seasoned the surface of this baking stone to give it non-stick properties. This makes cleaning easy as you simply need to rinse the stone under hot water and remove any stubborn residue with a stiff nylon brush. Your stone should be towel dried immediately and stored with paper on and below it to prevent any moisture buildup that could cause rust. Top tip to season your baking stone after use, rub with a small amount of oil and leave in the oven to dry at a low heat for an hour.

We aim to dispatch your order within one working day. The cut off time for a 24 hour delivery service is 3pm Monday to Friday. Any order placed after 3pm on a Friday will be dispatched the next working day (usually Monday). The 24 hour delivery service does not deliver on a Saturday or Sunday, please take this into consideration when placing your order.
If an order is placed on a Saturday or Sunday the order will then be dispatched on the next working day.

If you spend more than £50 on Andrew James products, you will be eligible for a free upgrade to a 24 hour delivery service. To redeem simply add your items to the basket and select “DPD 24 Hour Delivery” at the checkout. This offer is only redeemable online when checking out with Andrew James.
Please note that when placing your order, you should choose a delivery address where a person will be available to sign for the parcel. If there is no one available to sign for a parcel, the delivery driver will leave a card to let you know a delivery attempt has been made. They will make up to 3 attempts to deliver before holding the parcel at their depot for collection.
Please take the dispatch time into consideration when buying during a UK Bank Holiday period. The Andrew James Warehouse does not dispatch items until the next working day.

You can return an item for a full refund within 30 days of receiving it.
Your item is also covered by a 2 year warranty, and we will replace any faulty items within this period.
However, spare parts such as Halogen Oven Bulbs, and consumable products such as Vacuum Sealer Bags are not covered by the 2 Year Warranty.
