It works by using the 2600w power unit to heat a small amount of water when you press the tap rather than boiling the full capacity of the unit, which is how a kettle would work.
This electric hot water dispenser gives you the choice of five different temperature settings between 45 and 100 degrees. So, if you want to use this hot water dispenser for tea you’d pick 65 degrees, 75 degrees for your standard cuppa and 100 degrees for a herbal infusion.
You can also decide how much water to dispense with options for 100ml, 200ml, 300ml and continuous. This is great if you want to make a pot noodle, fill a baby bottle or cook some pasta for example. To help keep water fresh this hot water dispenser comes with 2 x Aqua Optima Filters. Each can filter up to 150L during their lifetime and you only need to use one at a time, meaning you have a spare to start with. You can easily change the filters, and top up the water, through the flip top lid. There’s a water volume gauge on the side so you can easily see how much is left and when it’s time to refill. We’ve also included a light under the spout and a removable drip tray along with a child safety lock to prevent accidents.

Yes. All you have to do is remove water marks on the housing by wiping down with a soft damp cloth. The drip tray can be cleaned in warm soapy water whilst regular descaling (usually once a month, but more frequently in very hard water areas) helps keep the inside clean and all parts working efficiently.

Before using the water dispenser, it is essential to follow the setup and calibration process. It is a tested and proven process and will result in proper operation of the machine. After standing empty since manufacture, there are lots of small air pockets in the pipework that need to be released, and the calibration process is designed to do this. It also electronically locks the system to prevent any further ingress of air. This will help with the following:

Your Andrew James Water Dispenser is now set up, calibrated, and ready to use. Calibration will be maintained while the machine is connected to the power, switched on, and locked. If power is interrupted, or the machine is moved to a different location, the calibration process must be repeated.
Please note that some spluttering may still occur as this is due to the fact the heat is applied immediately before water delivery. We advise customers descale their hot water dispenser thoroughly at least once a month from time of purchase, if you reside in a hard water area you may consider carrying out descaling more frequently. If descaling is not completed thoroughly on a monthly basis this can cause irreparable damage to the internal set up and result in issues with volumes of water dispensed, temperature of water dispensed and can cause spluttering from the machine.
