What Type of Hobs Can I Use My Griddle Pan on? 
Suitable for any hobs including induction hobs, ceramic hobs, electric hobs, and gas hobs. It can also be used inside your oven, AGA, or Rayburn. 

What Can I Cook on My Griddle Pan? 
You can use your griddle pan for so much more than just steak. Why not try grilling large mushrooms or creating a stuffed peppers dish for a delicious vegetarian option or a fish fillet with herbs and lemon. With so many different possibilities, your non-stick griddle pan is sure to become an essential piece of kitchen kit. 

The pan can also be used inside your oven to grill and cook a variety of foods - perfect for when you want to sizzle and sear on the hob before cooking or stewing in the oven. 

To help you lift, shake, and move your griddle pan, we have added a removable handle that is strong enough to support the pan yet can be easily taken off when you would like to use your griddle pan in the oven or store it away. Also, due to the handle being detachable, you can place your griddle pan in the oven without the fear of melting the handle or having to hold a hot handle when you want to lift it out. 

Please ensure that the temperature does not exceed 260℃, as this will affect the non-stick coating.

Is the Griddle Pan Compatible with an Electric Cooker or Ceramic Hob?

The Andrew James Griddle Pan is suitable for gas, electric, and induction cooking.

What is the Maximum Recommended Temperature?

Avoid going over 260℃ as the non-stick coating will be affected. 

Can the Pan Be Used in the Oven?

Yes, as long as the handle is removed beforehand. 

What is the Diameter Measurement of the Metal on the Base of the Pan (that makes the Pan Suitable to be Used on an Induction Hob)?

How Do I ‘Season’ the Pan?

Apply a small amount of oil. 

Can I Place My Pan in the Oven?

You can place your pan in the cooker as long as this does not exceed 260 degrees. We would also recommend removing the handle once you place this in the oven and then reapplying the handle to remove the pan from the oven.

Is the Pan Compatible with an Induction Hob?

You can use your flat griddle pan on all types of hob including induction, ceramic, gas, and electric.

When you place an order with Andrew James, depending on the item size our dispatch team will allocate the most efficient courier and service.

Hot Dogs

Ingredients: 

  • 8 Hot Dogs
  • 1 Pack of Buns

Pickle and Onion Topping:

  • 4 Finely Chopped Pickles 
  • ¼ Finely Chopped Small White Onion 
  • 3 Tbsp. Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. Wholegrain Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper

Horseradish Topping:

  • 3 Tbsp. Prepared Horseradish
  • 2 Tbsp. Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbsp. White Wine Vinegar 
  • 1 Tbsp. Mayonnaise 
  • 1 Tsp. Sugar
  • ¼ Head Finely Shredded Purple Cabbage (about 2 Cups)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Scallion
  • 1 Grated Carrot (Large)
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped Fresh Dill
  • Salt and Pepper

Spicy Chilli Pepper Topping:
  • 1 Cup of White Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar 
  • 1 Tsp. Coriander Seeds 
  • ¼ Tsp. Sea Salt
  • 2 Thinly Sliced Fresno Chillies
  • 1 Thinly Sliced Medium Red Onion 
 
Grill 8 hotdogs over medium-high heat, turning often, until slightly charred and heated through for 4 to 5 minutes. If desired, grill the buns until lightly toasted. Then, serve with any of the following toppings.
 
Pickle and Onion Topping:
Stir together pickles, white onion, fresh flat-leaf parsley, and wholegrain mustard in a bowl. Season with salt and black pepper. Makes around 2 cups. 
 
Horseradish Topping:
  1. Whisk together prepared horseradish (squeezed of excess moisture), sour cream, white wine vinegar, mayonnaise, and sugar in a bowl. 
  2. Add purple cabbage (about 2 cups), scallion, carrot, and fresh dill. 
  3. Season with salt and pepper. 
  4. Let it sit for around 15 minutes. 
  5. Makes 2 cups. 
 
Chilli Topping: 
  1. Bring white wine vinegar, sugar, coriander seeds, and salt to a simmer in a small pot over medium heat. 
  2. Remove from the heat and add Fresno chillies and red onion. 
  3. Let it sit for at least 25 minutes or leave for up to 3 days.
  4. Makes 1 and a ½ cups. 
Veggie Kebabs
 
Ingredients:
  • 3 Lemons (Halved)
  • 1 Tsp. Honey
  • 6. Tbsp. Olive Oil (Divided)
  • Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Scallions (Finely Chopped)
  • 4 Small Zucchini (Halved Lengthwise and Cut into 1-Inch Pieces)
  • 4 Small Summer Squash (Halved Lengthwise and Cut into 1-Inch Pieces)
  • 3 Bell Peppers (1 Each Red, Orange, and Yellow, and Cut into 1-Inch Pieces)
  • 2 Bunches of Cherry or Grape Tomatoes on the Vine
  • Fresh Mint (Chopped)
You will also need a set of skewers for this recipe. 
 
  1. Pop the pan on medium to high heat and grill the lemons (cut sides down) until charred for around 2 minutes.
  2. Squeeze juice from the grilled lemons into a bowl (you should have around 6 tablespoons) and whisk in honey until dissolved.
  3. Then, whisk in 4 tablespoons of oil and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the scallions.
  4. Thread zucchini, squash, and peppers on separate skewers and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil over kebabs and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill tomatoes (covered) until charred for 2 to 4 minutes and grill zucchini, squash, and peppers (covered), turning occasionally, until charred - 14 to 16 minutes for the zucchini and squash and 10 to 12 minutes for the peppers.
  6. Drizzle half of the vinaigrette over kebabs and tomatoes and top with mint just before serving. Serve with remaining vinaigrette alongside. 
Top Tip: If you are using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes before using them.

Bourbon BBQ Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients:
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 2 Garlic Cloves (Pressed)
  • 1 Tbsp. Chilli Powder
  • ¼ Tsp. Cayenne Powder 
  • 1 Cup of Ketchup
  • ¾ Cup of Bourbon (like Jack Daniels)
  • ¼ Cup of Treacle
  • ¼ Cup of Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Sea Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 8 1-Inch Thick Pork Chops (about 3 Pounds in Total)
  1. Heat oil and garlic in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the garlic sizzles (do not let brown) for around 1 minute. 
  2. Add ketchup, bourbon, treacle, vinegar, sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, for 12 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. 
  3. Heat grill to medium-high. Season chops with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill, turning once, until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part (avoiding the bone) registers 135oF, 10 to 14 minutes, basting with glaze (about ⅔ cup) during the last 4 minutes of cooking. 
  5. Transfer to a platter and baste again. Serve with remaining glaze. 
Salmon with Basil Butter

Ingredients:
  • 2 6-8 Ounce Salmon Fillets (Skin Removed)
  • 2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
  • 2-3 Basil Leaves (Minced)
  • 1 Garlic Clove (Minced)
  • 6 Ounces of Broccolini*
  • 1-2 Tsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
*Broccolini is similar to broccoli yet with smaller florets and thinner, longer stalks. 
  1. Place butter into a small, microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 10-15 seconds. 
  2. Mash in minced basil and half of the garlic until well combined. 
  3. Place onto a small sheet of tinfoil and roll up, doing your best to reshape into a log. Place in the fridge until ready to serve.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste and set aside.
  5. Place the broccolini in a medium bowl and toss with olive oil and remaining garlic. Set aside.
  6. Lightly brush the grilling surface with olive oil and grill salmon for 5-6 minutes per side for medium. 
  7. At the same time, add the broccolini and occasionally turning until slightly charred and golden for about 10-12 minutes. 
  8. Serve each salmon fillet topped with a slice of basil butter and a side of grilled broccolini. 
Pesto Chicken
 
Ingredients:
  • ¼ Cup of Toasted Walnuts
  • 3 Tbsp. Refrigerated Pesto
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Salt and Black Pepper
  • 3 Zucchini
  • 2 Yellow Squash (Cut Lengthwise into Thick Slices)
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Fillets
  • 2 Tsp. Salt-Free Garlic and Herb Seasoning Blend
  • Fresh Basil (for Serving) 
  1. Heat grill to medium-high and stir together walnuts, pesto, and fresh lemon juice.
  2. Thin with 1 tablespoon of water, if necessary, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Toss 3 zucchini and 2 yellow squash (cut lengthwise into thick slices) with olive oil and salt and black pepper. 
  4. Season 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets with salt-free garlic and herb seasoning blend, and salt and pepper. 
  5. Grill chicken until cooking through, 5 to 6 minutes per side. Grill squash until tender, 2 to 4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve vegetables and chicken topped with pesto and fresh basil.

Griddle Pan

Seems good value for money. Pan is light in weight, but that is more a reflection of the materials it is manufactured from rather than a comment on its build or material quality. Handle attaches/detaches easily but stays locked when moving/lifting pan. It is a good size with (up to now) a robust, non-stick easy clean surface. Heats up quickly and seems to retain heat well.
As good as you can reasonably expect for the money paid.
