Andrew James Double Blade Bread Maker
The Double Blade Bread Maker is more than an ordinary bread making machine. With its numerous key features the Bread Maker will not only enable you to make a wide range of delicious types of homemade breads including gluten free bread, wholemeal and French style bread but it will also allow you to make tasty cakes, pasta dough and even homemade jams.
Customise your bread making to suit your individual taste by choosing to bake different loaf sizes of either 1000g, 1250g or 1500g and by taking advantage of the 3 crust settings and enjoy a light, medium or dark crust. With an abundance of bread maker recipes available you can enjoy experimenting with your bread making by adding extra ingredients to enhance your loaf such as fruit, nuts, cheese and spices.
A glass viewing window allows you to watch your bread as it is kneaded and baked, eliminating the need to lift the lid and risk affecting the bread making process. The Bread Maker is designed to be safely used and stored on a kitchen workbench as the unit housing does not heat up during use and the non-stick feet hold the unit securely to the work surface. The unit also boasts a hinged lid and side handles for ease of use.
How to make homemade bread in the Bread Maker
Making homemade bread using a bread maker is really easy as the bread mix only requires flour, salt and yeast with a little oil and water. The Andrew James Double Blade Bread Maker features a 15 hour programmable delay timer which means you can wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread every morning or you can have it ready for you arriving home at the end of the day. The bread maker also keeps loaves warm for up to an hour after baking, so you can continue to enjoy the ‘fresh from the oven’ taste.
Our fresh bake bread maker couldn’t be easier to use, with a clear LCD display and smooth touch controls, and it is easy to maintain too thanks to an easy clean non-stick bread tin and kneading blade.
Extras in the box
Included with the bread machine is a blade removing hook, measuring cup and measuring spoon.
Bread Machine Tips
If you are planning on using extra ingredients in your bread mix a good tip is to wait until the dough forms into a ball then gradually sprinkle your ingredients in.
Add your ingredients in the correct order: Add liquids and yeast first followed by dry ingredients then salt and finally butter on top.
Salt can slow down the growth rate of yeast therefore it’s advised to add salt after the yeast which should result in a bigger rise.

How to Add Ingredients to Your Breadmaker
When creating loaves and rolls in your breadmaker you should add ingredients in the order instructed by the recipe. Generally this is;
• Liquid Ingredients
• Dry Ingredients
• Yeast or Soda
The flour should not be completed soaked by the liquid and the yeast can only be placed on top of the dry flour. Remember, the yeast should not touch the salt.
Basic White Loaf (1,000g).
Add your ingredients in this order before setting the machine away:
• 350ml Water
• 2 tbsp. Melted Butter
• 4 Cups High Gluten Flour (Strong Bread Flour)
• 1 tsp. Salt
• 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
• 0.5 tsp. Instant Yeast
It is important that you don’t let the salt touch the yeast before your bread maker programme starts. The best way to do this is to put the yeast in one corner of the bread pan, salt in the other and the sugar in the middle.
