This cheese board set creates a stunning centrepiece for any table. Made from rubber wood with the names of all your favourite cheeses etched into the surface, it looks just as good empty as it does full of delicious dishes. The wooden board measures 30cm x 22.5cm and is 1.5cm deep (6cm including accessory holder). It weighs less than a kilo so is easy to transport. If you’re looking for the perfect present for a foodie, this cheese board gift set is ideal.
This cheese board and knives set comes with a knife for hard cheese, fork for soft cheese and a parmesan shaver. Each of these accessories can be stored on the board using the magnetic strip of the accessory holder, so they are always easy to find when you want to cut your cheeses. We’ve also included 6 olive forks and a ceramic side dish, ideal for serving dips and pickles.
There are so many great cheese board ideas when it comes to deciding what you should serve on your new wooden cheese board. Of course, a selection of cheeses is a must, along with bread and/or crackers, but you can also include cured meats, fresh fruit, jams, pickles, nuts, olives, etc.
Wash your board and accessories in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge. Don’t let the board or accessories soak, just us a little extra pressure to remove any stubborn spots of dirt. After washing disinfect the board using a 2:1 mixture of water and white vinegar. Apply to both sides and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with clean water. To get rid of any strong odours rub the board with coarse salt use halve a lemon to scrub the board down, gently squeezing the lemon as you do so to release some of the juice. Again, let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Finally, wipe the board dry with a cloth or paper towel to make sure as little water as possible is absorbed into the surface.
Seasoning isn’t strictly necessary but it can help protect the board being tainted by the colours and aromas naturally present in your food. Use a soft cloth or paper towel, rub both sides of the board with food grade mineral oil. If you use your board regularly aim to season it once a month, with less frequent use you may want to do it each time the board is cleaned.

There are so many different cheese board ideas when it comes to deciding what to put on your board. Personal taste plays a big part but there are key elements that should be included.
Cheese: The most important part of your cheese board. Use at least 4 different cheeses and aim for a balance between sharp and mild, hard and soft cheeses. Cut hard cheeses into smaller chunks or slices to make it easier for quests.
Meats: Cured meats are the perfect choice such as ham, parma ham and salami.
Bread & Crackers: Choose flavours that compliment your cheeses, crackers are great for hard cheese whilst herby breads can taste delicious when dipped in baked brie or other soft cheeses.
Fresh Fruit & Vegetables: Add to the flavour profile of your board by including some pieces of fresh fruit like pineapple, pear or grapes, along with salad vegetables like celery, cherry tomatoes or cucumber.
Sweet Dishes: Include a classic pickle or some honey and jam.
Salty Foods: Add a touch or salt, or tang, to your board with items like nuts and olives.
