Easy Autum Recipes: Chilli Con Carne
This Autumn, we are determined to provide you with plenty of dinner recipes.
Ideal for when the blustery weather and the grey clouds come in, this Slow Cooker Chilli Con Carne Recipe is easy, delicious and – should you need Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free alternatives – the ingredients are very interchangeable.
Great to make in a large batch, you can freeze this Chilli Con Carne and store it in Storage boxes. You can even defrost it on a later date, making your future self extremely grateful, especially on those days when the last thing you want to do is cook a meal.
If you would rather have it without rice, then load it up in a tortilla wrap, burrito style, or even serve it on a bed of nachos for a treat.

COOK TIME: 8 hours (on Low), 4 Hours (On High)
300g lean beef mince
2 stalks of celery
1 green pepper
2 cloves of garlic
600g of passata
6 cups of red beans
2 tins of cannellini beans
1 tablespoon of chilli powder
Put. All. Of. The. Ingredients. Into. The. Slow. Cooker. And. Cook. For. 8. Hours. On. Low. Setting.
(Or 4 hours on High setting)
Serve with rice/nachos/garlic bread.
This recipe is truly delicious, we just can’t get enough! It’s a real night-shift special and the Slow Cooker is perfect, as it’s easy to just chuck any ingredients in and let them cook. It saves on the washing-up too.
