Smoothie Recipes

Alongside being quick and easy to prepare, Smoothies are a great way to pack loads of essential fruit and veg into your day with minimal preparation efforts. If your kids are fussy eaters whose faces shrivels up at the sight of anything green, smoothies are fantastic for sneaking in things like spinach, kale and carrot, and disguising them with the ever-colourful and flavoursome berries; what kid could turn down a super sweet berry smoothie?!

Smoothies are also the perfect choice for when you’re in the mood for a treat, but don’t want to sacrifice all your healthy eating efforts, as they evoke the feeling of having a dessert, when in reality they’re filled to the brim with goodness. You can even go all out on the ‘dessert’ theme, by adding dessicated coconut or cacao powder to your blend, in order to add a flavour synonymous with pudding, and therefore allowing your drink to mimic it’s sinful deliciousness.

In terms of health benefits, minus that of the already mentioned fruit and veggies, smoothies can dramatically improve digestion unlike it’s breakfast rivals of sugary cereal and white toast. Adding water or coconut water to your smoothie keeps you hydrated, and is a change from constantly gulping from your water bottle!

Here are some scrumptious smoothie recipes for every occasion, taste and need…

With all these recipes, the ingredients are listed, then all you need to do is blend the mixture to your desired consistency using the Smoothie Maker adding more liquid (milk or water) if you want a thinner consistency.
