National Burger Day: Falafel Burger Recipe
National Burger Day is coming up, but we are also smack bang in the middle of BBQ season, so here’s a delicious Vegetarian Burger Recipe for you to try.
Whether you are in dire need of Vegetarian recipes or would just like to try a meatless burger, our Falafel Burger Recipe is healthy, fresh and perfect to make for either lunch or dinner.
How to make Veggie Burgers: Falafel Flavour
A 250g tin of chickpeas
1 medium onion
2 garlic cloves
2 tsp ground coriander
10g (2 tsp) of ground cumin
30g of plain flour
1 spray of Frylight Sunflower Oil Spray
4 burger buns
Drain and dry the chickpeas before giving them a short blast in the food processor. They should be broken down into a crumb-like texture.
Scatter in the coriander and cumin and pulse again, before scooping out the mixture and shape it into 4 veggie patties of an even shape and size.
Spread a bit of hummus on each side of your burger buns, before placing a delicious Vegetarian Burger in there and top up with a little salad or tomato as garnish.
