Looking for things your family can do on New Year’s Eve?
With Christmas leaving us for another year, it’s time to set our sights on 2019 and, if you’re looking for New Year’s Eve ideas for families, we have a whole host of suggestions to make sure your little ones don’t miss out on the magic of the occasion.
First on our family friendly list of what to do on New Year’s Eve 2018 is Photo Props! Fun for the kids to swap and change, trying lots of ways to make wild and wacky photos.
You can either buy a ready-made set or you could extend the fun, get the glue gun out and make your own.
A really wonderful idea for a New Year countdown, a balloon clock only needs 12 balloons and a marker pen. Perfect your balloon-blowing skills to make sure it resembles a clock and have fun choosing whether to burst the balloons as you count down the hours to midnight or let the little ones play with them.
New Year’s Resolutions
Are New Year’s Resolutions effective? How do you make sure you keep them?
Let’s be honest, they’re really just a little bit of fun to round off the year, but they can be a good way to let your kids reflect on the past 12 months and see if there is anything they can strive to achieve in 2019. Nothing strenuous. Just a little giggle for the New Year…
But, seriously. If anyone knows how to make New Year’s resolutions and keep them, please let me know.
A lovely afternoon activity for the kids to take part in, before devouring brilliant baked goods in the evening. Why not mix up a mess in the kitchen and decorate some New Year cakes that will get 2019 off to its most delicious start.
Another pleasant activity for the kiddie-winks to get involved in is the design and making of their very own cocktails (otherwise known as mocktails (otherwise knowns as fruit smoothies)). This allows them to get creative with flavours, have a healthy drink to savour and make sure they don’t miss out on any party favours.
