Andrew James is a UK based family-run business, which prides itself on its high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as its quality products. We offer a wide range of innovative household appliances, including our highly-regarded stone-grilling products such as the Luxury Stone Grill Raclette.
AA Raclette is where this whole journey first started! During a conversation over dinner (where many revolutionary ideas form), cousins Andrew and James noticed that the Raclette Grill the family was using, was a virtually non-existent product in the UK. Recognising the Raclette's potential and the gap for it in the UK market they decided to source a supplier, ordered their first batch, and from that Andrew James was born!
We aim to deliver the quality products to both specialist and mainstream customers, with affordability remaining at the heart of our philosophy.
Over the years Andrew James has grown to offer a vast range of garden, kitchen and general household products that our customers love. Many of which have received much praise in the press; from our food mixers which have been voted amongst the top ten in the UK by the Independent, and our 'Which? Best Buy' Ice Cream Maker, to the numerous Andrew James products that have featured on several high-profile TV programmes including MasterChef, Come Dine With Me and The Gadget Show.
At HQ, our teams are committed to continuing and bettering Andrew James' success. We have teams dedicated to unearthing and developing high-quality inventive products, all of which are inspected and tested to meet the utmost standard and specifications, whilst at the same time maintaining exceptional customer service.
We are also committed to being environmentally friendly, reducing carbon emissions, waste and recycling are at the top of our agenda and a vital part of our environmental policy.

Being based in the UK means that we can answer your queries promptly and when you need it most. For connecting with our customers beyond the UK, we are lucky enough to boast a multi-lingual team with French and German speakers aboard whom go above and beyond for our customers.
Keeping our customer services department inbound at our HQ, we are able to offer a more personal and in depth service, whilst avoiding the negative connotations usually associated with call centres.

We started off by selling niche kitchen products, but we have expanded our product range right across the household market. Our vow to maintain the highest levels of quality exists throughout the whole company, not only through our endeavours to bring you the best products on the market, but in our customer services department, which strives to be the second to none. We always have a team of trained individuals on hand to answer your queries or deal with any problems quickly and efficiently.
Since the company began back in 2005, we have graciously received a number of notable achievements where all our hard work has paid off!
Andrew James began with just two members of staff, and in 2018 the company now employs over 70 people. We pride ourselves on our involvement and role in the local community; which includes regularly supporting local charities such as the Cash4Kids Mission Christmas campaign.
In the summer of 2017 we moved into new larger and modern premises in Seaham, County Durham. With spacious working areas kitted out with all the mod cons, and boasting highly impressive coastal views!
We've also continued with our policy of organic growth, with which we have been able to become increasingly visible online and in the press, making us a more recognisable brand to the average consumer.
Our products have appeared on a number of high profile TV shows such as MasterChef, Come Dine with Me and The Gadget Show, which has led us to becoming an increasingly established retailer across the UK, as well as a drive in the number of sales.
Back in 2013 we provided the 'Coldest Journey' team (whom were supported by Sir Ranulph Fiennes) with vacuum sealers to allow them to vacuum pack food supplies to see them throughout the duration of their Antarctic expeditions in extreme temperatures. We have also made numerous appearances in the printing press, more recently (January 2018) having a feature in the Northern Echo. The article featured company director Andrew Tomlinson, where he discussed the journey of the business and our plans for the future.
