This automatic pet feeder can be used for your four legged friends whether they are of the feline or canine variety. The battery operated plastic feeder has anti-tamper lid clips to stop them eating all four portions at once. It could also be used with other household pets like rabbits or guinea pigs so long as they are rampant chewers.
Depending on how long you are setting the timer for and the ambient temperature you can use this automatic dog feeder cat food dispenser for any type of food. Dry food will last longer but the ice chamber can reduce the temperature for a few hours to keep wet food fresher. The ice chamber can also be used as a small water bowl.
This pet feeder has 4 individual portions and can be programmed to open each department in turn up to 4 times with a maximum duration of 24 hours between each serving. This means it is great as a cat feeder with timer to keep your cat content if you are away overnight or for a couple of days. It also works as an automatic dog feeder so your pooch gets his dinner if you’re delayed at work.
The built in voice recorder on this pet feeder with timer means that you can use a recording of up to 8 seconds to let your furkid know when it is time to eat. Because this dog and cat feeder is battery operated you don’t have to worry about power cuts or finding a convenient socket. It works on 4 x C Batteries (not included) and the low battery indicator means you have plenty of warning to change them.
Obesity is one of the biggest problems our domestic pets face - an estimated 60% of animals visiting a veterinary surgeon each year are overweight. As well as reducing their life span by up to 20 years, weight problems can also cause problems like arthritis and urinary tract infections. One of the solutions vets recommend is a ‘controlled feeding regime’ where pets are feed an exact amount each day based on nutritional needs. By feeding this at the same time each day you can also help resolve grazing and bolting of food, which can lead to further problems. An automatic feeder lets you control both portions and time, so you can still enjoy a lay in whilst Fido and Felix get their breakfast.

On this pet feeder the tray moves round and the lid stays still, so the opening is always in the same place. This is ideal if you want to put the feeder up against the wall or in a corner.
Either. You can set the timer to open the feeder twice a day for two days, 3 times in one day or any combination that works for you. The maximum length of the timer is 96 hours, which is 4 days, with a maximum duration of 24 hours between each feeding, but you could do it once an hour if that’s better for you.
Each section has a capacity 125ml but the weight of food this will hold depends on the food being feed, the size of the kibble or biscuits etc.

Our pets are part of our family and, just like our children, rely on us to keep them happy and healthy. We’ve read a variety of articles and sources to come up with this list of of top tips for feeding your cat your dog.
Tip 1: Clean, fresh, water should always be available. Make sure there’s always a bowl of water within reach and that you change it regularly. Whilst dogs will happily lap away at a bowl of water (and usually splash it over the floor as well) cats can be more fussy. As desert animals they are used to getting most of their hydration from their food (which is why you should always include wet food in their diet), and some cats are reluctant to drink still water. This could be because they can sense the chlorine, in which case try filtered water, or some cats just prefer running water. If your cat is partial to catnip try crushing a few fresh leaves under the water in their bowl to attract them over to it.
Tip 2: Make sure food is stored correctly. Open cans should be covered and stored in the fridge. Use them within two days, write the date on them if you have multiple open cans. Resealable packets should be made airtight and used up before their use by date. Dry food can be stored in an airtight metal or plastic box, a great idea if you’re buying large sacks for big dogs. Put a sticker on the side so you know the use by date and ensure it is emptied and cleaned out before you add any new food.
Tip 3: Scrap the scraps. Those puppy dog eyes may be irresistible but you have to be the stronger mammal. Treats should make up no more than 10% of your pet’s daily caloric intake and make sure you adjust their meals to maintain a healthy balance. Good behaviour can be rewarded with fuss, attention and play rather than food treats, something that is not only better for your pet, it’s cheaper for you. Human food is not pet food and there are some things you should never give to your dog. These include;
