A push up treat pop is a great way to serve treats and snacks that is both colourful and fun. Basically, you fill your push up cake pop containers with layers of cake, icing, fruit, or anything else you fancy. The lid keeps it all in place and you can use the handle to push the base up as you eat your sweet treats to make sure you can easily eat the whole thing.
Because these treats are made in transparent plastic containers it’s easy to make eye catching displays with bright colours and interesting textures. This makes push up treat pops an ideal choice for weddings, birthdays, Christmas, baby showers, christenings and parties as well as a fun addition to lunch boxes or just a quick snack from the fridge.
Push up cake pops are a great alternative to more traditional, round, cake pops, and less messy too! You don’t need any special cake pop moulds, just bake your cake as normal then use the treat pop containers to cut out layers. Stack your ingredients inside the plastic cylinder to create an eye catching display such as ombre cake layers or colour coordinated treats. For something a little more healthy, but still just as much fun, why not create a teat pop using slices of fresh fruit like pineapple, kiwi fruit or strawberries. You can pop in a little cream or yogurt to sweeten it up, the convenient lid will help keep it all in place until it’s time to eat your treat.
This set comes with 12 reusable push up cake pop containers and lids. There’s also a transparent plastic stand that is really helpful for keeping your treats in place as you construct them, and for showing them off when they are finished.
Your treat pop containers are reusable, simple rinse and wash in warm soapy water with a soft cloth then allow to dry completely before storage. The stand can also be wiped down with a soft cloth to clean it.

Hand wash with warm, soapy water.
Melt the butter in a pan over a low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until they are all melted.
Remove from the pan and add the cereal. Stir until all the bits are well coated.
Pour the mix into the push up treat pop containers so they are almost full and allow to cool.
Melt the chocolate chips in bowls in the microwave and stir ½ tbsp vegetable oil into each type of chocolate. Pour the chocolate over the top of the cereal pops and finish off with sprinkles.
If you prefer, create layers of rice pops and the different types of chocolates as you build your push up pops. To do this you will need to allow each layer of chocolate to cool before adding the next layer of rice pops so make sure you are able to keep remaining liquids fluid whilst you construct your treats.
For The Cake
For The Icing
Preheat the oven to 170C. Grease and line some thin layer cake tins.
Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla together until pale and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. If the mixture starts to look curdled add a spoonful of the flour until it is fixed.
Mix the yogurt and food colouring together then beat into the cake mix.
Fold in the remaining flour and the cocoa powder. Add the milk and mix until well combined.
Pour into the cake tins and bake until they are well risen and a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean, the exact time will depend on the depth of your pans.
Remove from the tin and allow to cool.
To make the icing, mix the butter and cream cheese together then beat in the icing sugar a little at a time. Finish by adding the lemon juice and beat the icing for five minutes or until it is pale in colour and has a light consistency.
Use your treat pop holder to cut discs in the cake layers. Assemble the treat pops by layering a bit of cake with a little icing. Add a decorative swirl of icing to the top. Decorate with red or chocolate sprinkles if desired.
